Animal Crossing New Leaf: Why this is the definitive version
For the past decade, Animal Crossing as a series has captured the hearts of millions. Each entry has added many new features to the mix, but New Leaf goes farther than the previous entries did. Here are the reasons we feel New Leaf is the definitive Animal Crossing.
The Mayor
You are now, in the most noticeable update, the Mayor of your humble little town. Tortimer has moved out, and as you step in you are welcomed as the new mayor. Nobody knows exactly what happened to the real new mayor, but you claim to be him, or her as the case may be. The mayor seat comes with many responsibilities however. You can purchase new features for your town in this game, from new river-spanning bridges, to benches to sit on. These cost some bells, the in game currency, but are definitely worth it for your town. You also set Ordinances, like making your town weed-free or more apt to get you money. There is a lot more to do in the Mayor's seat, and you will be lead by your Canine assistant, Isabelle.

The New Stores
In past Animal Crossings, there were only a few stores from which you could buy stuff from, with only a few more stores or places of interest coming in City Folk. In New Leaf, however, there will be many more stores and places of interest, such as Club LOL(where K.K. rocks the dance floor) and Kicks' Shoe Shop, and the new Re-Tail store, among many others. These stores are placed close to each other, which saves sometime running around your town.

We will be adding features daily up to release from NOF, so stay tuned!

Animal Crossing New Leaf: Why this is the definitive version :: Comments
It'll be the definitive version until the next one comes out then that'll be the definitive version
@Dash I know, but I just wanted everyone to realize how much its changed since City Folk.
@Ideal That pun, what an eye-opener.
Typos. D: I was typing this rushed in the dark during a Tech movie, I'm glad it came out with only a few typos.

Look guys, eye get the picture. But to tell you the truth, 'eye' only lens itself to so many puns. Let's please stop the cornea jokes.
Eye don't "see " what's so funny. u_u
@Knuckles - Iris the times when we got along. U_X
@Pikminsi and @Clay - Those were some good puns! You guys could be my pupils.

Other members will (hopefully) be updating this while I'm away~
