The obvious winner of the 16-bit Wars, the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive!

The reason the Mega Drive title couldn't be secured in NA? The Trademark was taken, and SEGA couldn't get the holder to let them use the title.
So Genesis was thought up, as the beginning of the SEGA reign.

Yeah, Ninty kinda had all the good third party games on the genesis as well, the only difference was when Ninty decided to bring mortal wombat without blood. The wombat fans were not happy, they labelled Ninty as kiddy and they flocked to Sega so they could have wombats dismember each other in an overly gory fashion. But Yoshi's island could bring any console to a flawless victory. Twisted Evil
