What is your Favorite Controller?
We all have the moment, where you pick up an older gaming controller and it feels like it's supposed to fit right in your hands. The one with the right amount of Joysticks, buttons, and the right weight.
Besides the Wii U controller, this is the retro forum after all, which Nintendo system has the best controller?
I personally love the feel of the good old Gamecube controller. I've used it only a few times, but I'd pay at least $30 for one for even one game.

Re: What is your Favorite Controller?
The Gamecube controller is pretty awesome. However, due to the fact that mine's GameStop brand, it may have dubious quality.

*Posting from my GamePad*
But besides that... Idk, maybe the Nunchuck+Wiimote combo. Tbh I've used all of like 3 controllers in my life.

Nintendo: Gamecube
SEGA: Genesis 6 Button Arcade Pad. I grew up on that controller, and it is very nostalgic to me.

Re: What is your Favorite Controller?
@Dash I knew you love the gamepad. I just didn't include it here because its a Retro forum. :3
I also remembered, the Wii Classic controller really melds with my hands. I can now enjoy Nes games comfortably!

Re: What is your Favorite Controller?
Yeah, GCN controller. It was pretty easy to get the hang of and felt good to hold, along with the analog stick for good measure.

My hands are slightly too big for the GCN controller, it seems ._.
Re: What is your Favorite Controller?
That's too bad. Well, its a good thing for you that games don't support the GCN controller anymore, then.3Dash wrote:My hands are slightly too big for the GCN controller, it seems ._.

The Gamecube controller fits your hands like a glove. It's definitely one of the most comfortable controllers i've used but i'm still partial to the Wiimote held sideways NES style.

Re: What is your Favorite Controller?
Since we're talking controllers here, I have to bring this up.
Yesterday I had a really good, really bad idea. RedPanda, Tricoloryoshi and I were all about to play Brawl, and I said that we should switch up our controllers for the Brawls. Red used a Wiimote held sideways, Tri used a Classic Controller, and I used my new GCN controller.
Holy crap, those were some of the worst Brawls any of us have ever played in. Absolutely brimming with fail.

Re: What is your Favorite Controller?
@Clayton You're kidding me. The WiiMote + Nunchuck combo is the best, obviously U_U

Nah, Gamecube controls on Brawl are the best

Yeah, the GCN controller dominates in Brawl u_u
Although I do love hearing characters yell out the Wiimote when I select them

Re: What is your Favorite Controller?
I didn't say it was bad
I just said I'm not very good at using it
Plus, the Wiimote + Nunchuck is set up like the DS, so I find it easy becasue of that.

Re: What is your Favorite Controller?
...How precisely, does it control anything similar to a Nintendo Dual Screen?

Re: What is your Favorite Controller?
So, on the DS, there's the movement control on the left, along with the L button. On the Nunchuck, there's movement and C and Z, which is like the D-pad on DS and L button on DS. On the right of the DS, there's A, B, 1 and 2(basically X and Y),and + and -(Start and Select). Maybe it's not exactly like the DS, but it's more similar to the DS's setup than, say, a sideways WiiMote, or GCN Controller(which is kinda like the DS's setup, but that's a stretch). I don't have a Classic Controller Pro, but if I did, I'd probably use that.

Wiimote on its side is the only way to play Brawl
